Winter’s refusing, so we prepare for spring!

Vinterbild

After two cold and really snowy winters many of us expected another winter of the same kind. But that was obviously not meant to be. Maybe it will come eventually, but we decided to prepare for spring. We are really looking forward to present yet another fantastic collection of shoes! We are pretty sure that you will get problems with choosing just one pair to be your favourites. I want that, that and that! And that! You see, we are curious to know your thoughts. And it’s not far away. Soon enough you will find the spring collection both here at the site and of course in stores.

Sixtyseven designer visiting Sweden

It’s time to co-ordinate the A/W Collection 2012. It’s crazy how time flies! It feels like we decided about the models of the running autumn just the other day. Anyway, I thought it might be interesting to hear about the moments of creating a new shoe model. First of all we analyse the season that has passed (autumn 2011). What became a hit? What did we miss? Then we decide about what lasts that will be part of next season and what new versions we do need. The work with the collection for the autumn 2012 actually started already in August when we got the first indications about how the shoes were accepted in the stores.

Next step is to create the upper sections for the lasts we’ve decided to go for. We are happy to collaborate with a designer who understands the Scandinavian, clean fashion! The winning concept is mostly clean upper parts combined with soles suitable for the Nordic climate.

Now it’s time for Technical Sketches. This includes all the information necessary to make the first sample in the shoe factory. When all the first samples are made we try them all. This is maybe the most important part of the whole process. Without feedback on fittings and technical details it’s almost impossible to be successful. This week’s mission was the try on moment.

When the samples, after corrections are finally accepted, it’s time for colouring. This process has been parallel to the other, to secure the supply of leather material. Finally the collection is ready to meet our resellers for the first time, at the fair in Garda, Italy. That’s mid January.

As you can see there are plenty of moments in the developing phase! It’s a long way from idea to final product. A lot of hard work, but at the same time incredibly inspiring and fun!

Shoe designer, every girl’s dream job?

IMG_2422-600x800

First of all I want to introduce myself as one of the bloggers at Sixtysevenshoes.com. My name is Hanna and I work for Anders Ståhl Trading, Scandinavian agent for Sixtyseven.

My main function at work is product development, which means I’ve got the favour of working close to the designers at Sixtyseven.

One of the most important things in our work is to get input from you, as being our customer. Today I mainly get that information from all the stores selling Sixtyseven, but with our blog running I would like to get your point of view right here, right now! Is there any particular kind of shoe you miss in our assortment? Are there any colours or details that you are missing? Please let us know!

Give us your opinion and feel that you will be a part of our design development job – a job which some would say is the dream work. What do you think?

Follow-ups to last year’s success are here!

Last year’s major sellers,Ange and Sandra are naturally also included in the selection this year. We have noticed that they continue to be very popular. Parallel with these models we have also launched two really exciting follow-ups in the form ofMatilda Double zip and Elin Clean. In many ways they are similar, with the major difference being that the new models are challenging with their square toes. Do you dare?
